Caitlyn Morton, photographer and creative director

Meet the creative director

Caitlyn Morton

I direct as much as I shoot. That means I am thinking about the light, the styling and the story before anyone picks up a camera, and it is why my sessions feel less like being photographed and more like being looked after.

My work runs from match sidelines to editorial sets to a graduate on a lawn at golden hour. The subject changes. The standard does not.

The stay and booking process

  1. Reserve

Tell me what the photographs are for. I reply with a date and hold it on a fifty percent deposit.

  2. Plan

We settle the location, the light and what you are wearing before the day, so nothing gets decided in a hurry.

  3. Sessions

I direct throughout. Nobody has to know what to do with their hands.

  4. Delivered

A finished gallery in under two weeks, edited and ready to print or post.

Start inquiry

Tell me what the photographs are for and roughly when. I answer everything myself, usually the same day.

How far in advance should I book?

Graduation season fills first, so two to three months ahead for spring. Portrait and couples sessions can often be arranged inside a few weeks.

What does the deposit do?

Fifty percent of the total investment holds your date and comes off the balance. Nothing else is due until the day.

Do you travel?

Williamsburg, Richmond, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Travel inside thirty miles of Williamsburg is included and anything further is quoted before you commit.

When do I get the photographs?

Under two weeks, finished and edited. Not three months.
