About The Resident Suite
The studio
The Resident Suite is a boutique creative studio. The name is not decoration. A good hotel does many things, the room and the restaurant and the view, and they all hold the same standard.
My work runs from a match sideline to an editorial set to a graduate on a lawn, and the through line is not a subject. It is the level of care, and the fact that somebody is directing.
Rooted in the idea of luxury and intention, the way a five star stay is. You are a guest here, not a booking.
Meet the creative director
Caitlyn Morton
I direct as much as I shoot. Before anyone picks up a camera I have thought about the light, the styling, the location, and what the photograph is actually for. That is why sessions feel less like being photographed and more like being looked after.
I also lead content strategy for a creator whose channel has passed thirty million views, and that work taught me something the camera never would have. A beautiful frame is only worth what it does for the person in it.
How I work
I direct
You will not be left standing there wondering what to do. That is the job, and it is most of why the photographs look the way they do.
Color is the craft
Editing is not a filter at the end. Grading, retouching and compositing are where a frame becomes an image.
Under two weeks
You will still be talking about the day when the gallery lands. Not three months later when the moment has gone cold.
